Flesh and Blood
Track of the Day: D*Note, "Flesh and Blood"
This town has changed me, has let me change myself. I am not beholden to the artificial constraints that I've placed upon myself before. I have met all these wonderful people. I just feel free here.
I am supposed to write big ticket stuff here, and small ticket stuff over on my other blog, but I just felt like saying. Hell, maybe I should move here. I'm happier here than I have been at home. My crew at home I love though, it would be hard truly severing that tie again.
I came out of karaoke today with a maelstrom of emotions. "Flesh and Blood" used to be our song. The other half of "our" is a person I was never actually with, but that I bonded with deeply. Who I was couldn't be with who she was. But she is such an amazing woman.
Damn, you'd think I was drunk the way I am rambling on. And maybe somewhere, I am. It's all good though. I trust you tonight. You will be good stewards of my secrets.
There's a poem on the tip of my tongue, for a girl I may never see, and for another that is just outside my reach. Shango came to me at night and whispered, "Anything you want, you can have." I believe him.
Seal was right. We're never gonna survive unless we're a little crazy.
